The Role
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Environment Sustainability Advisor who will report to the Environmental Manager on the QTMP project located at Ormeau.
The role will provide professional and qualified environmental support, with a particular focus on assisting project personnel in meeting Conditions of Approval and ensuring environmental compliance and sustainability throughout project delivery.
Your responsibilities will include but not limitied to,
Key Responsibilities
•Maintain and foster regular stakeholder relationships / dialogue and market the business and services.
•Assist in maintaining DTI’s environmental management systems certification and accreditation to ISO14001
•Reviews contractor activities in accordance with DTI’s Integrated Management System (IMS), Environmental Zero Harm Standards and site specific environmental management plans.
•Prepare concise reports to senior management identifying shortfalls, including preparation of plans to address the required corrective actions.
•Mitigate risk through ongoing review and development of DTI’s management procedures and standards.
•Review environmental incident reports and investigations.
About You
•Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science/ Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Management or similar
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in an equivalent Environmental Compliance or Environmental Management role.
•Excellent communication skills and ability to provide guidance for all levels of staff and managers
•Demonstrated success in providing environmental initiatives and achieving environmental outcomes as part of a team
•Effective planning, time management and organizational skills
•Be responsive and have an attention to detail
•Be able to work autonomously
•Current drivers licence
