We are excited to announce a great opportunity in Ormeau, South Queensland, for our QTMP project. We are looking for a Senior Contracts Administrator. This role is primarily responsible for the efficient and effective management of all commercial and contractual matters related to the project within the Business Unit. The Senior Contracts Administrator will oversee the day-to-day administration of the head contract and any associated subcontracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of management plans in accordance with head contract requirements.
- Development of commercial and risk management strategies, plans, process flowcharts and pro formas for accurate and effective management of DTI’s rights and entitlements under the head contract.
- Work with the project scheduling resources to ensure baseline schedule is developed and approved in accordance with the head contract programming requirements.
- Provide commercial leadership and advice to project team members on site issues, disputes and other various contractual matters.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or recognized prior industry experience that is suitable for the role.
- Familiarity with standard and bespoke industry contracts, including their negotiation processes and operational effects.
- An understanding of contract terms and conditions, with knowledge of how to manage variations, approvals, and recovery of claims in accordance with contract requirements and DTI policy frameworks.
- Awareness of the commercial and legal issues that may affect project delivery.
- Understanding of principles related to project management, contract management, risk management, and financial management relevant to project oversight.
- Prior experience in a similar role as a contracts administrator is essential.
