About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of the Ormeau Rail Facility project in Ormeau. As a Project Engineer in the building team, You will play a key role in driving engineering outcomes across building and structural packages while developing your career on a major rail infrastructure program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to support delivery of building and structural works in line with cost, quality and programme requirements
  • Interpret designs for construction implementation and assist with technical solutions, temporary works coordination and design improvements
  • Support preparation of project budgets, forecasts, progress claims and monthly reporting in line with project requirements
  • Monitor and manage subcontractor performance, including verification of claims, variations and progress against programme
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials, plant and resources while ensuring compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements

About you

  • Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent) with eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction engineering, preferably in rail, civil or infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated site-based engineering experience, including planning, coordination and delivery support
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, QA processes, ITPs and Australian Standards
  • Ability to interpret drawings, technical documentation and contractual requirements to support delivery outcomes
  • Building / structures experience is highly desirable, particularly across commercial, rail or civil building works packages
