THE ROLE

DT Infrastructure have been awarded the contract to Design, Construct and Commission the Rail maintenance facility and stabling yards at Ormeau, in the Gold Coast region. Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) project achievement marks our largest contract ever in Queensland and underscores our expertise in delivering complex infrastructure projects. 

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join our team. Reporting to the Environmental & Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent environmental performance across the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 

• Ensuing that the CEMP is effectively established, implemented, and maintained at the project level
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutes, regulations, rules, procedures, standards and policies
• Provide specialist environmental advice to all functional managers, particularly in Design, Procurement, Commercial and Construction, to ensure environmental obligations are integrated across all Project delivery functions.
• Conduct ongoing risk management and hazard identification processes.
• Manage specialist consultants to ensure all contract requirements are met.
• Coordinate accident/incident investigations and produce environmental bulletins and alerts.
• Monitoring of environmental aspects incl soil, water, noise etc.
• Conduct inspection and assurance processes.
   

ABOUT YOU 
 

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering or similar.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role (infrastructure construction preferred).
• A passion for developing and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Ability to influence project teams and subcontractors.
• Relevant experience working with contaminated land and emerging contaminants(preferred but not essential).
• Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (preferred but not essential).
