About the role

We are seeking a motivated Contracts Administrator to join our team on the Ormeau Rail Facility project in Ormeau. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial and contractual delivery of a major rail infrastructure project. Working closely with the project team, you will be involved in procurement, subcontract administration, cost control, and reporting, ensuring contracts are effectively managed from tender through to final account. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile transport infrastructure project while developing your commercial expertise in a dynamic site-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer subcontracts on a day-to-day basis, including variations, progress claims, payments, and contractual correspondence.
  • Assist in managing the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), re-measures, and cost tracking to ensure accurate forecasting and earned value reporting.
  • Maintain cost control systems, including registers for materials, dockets, variations, and subcontract accounts.
  • Contribute to monthly reporting, forecasting, and commercial performance tracking, supporting the Commercial Manager and project leadership team.

About you

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar, with 3+ years’ experience in a Contracts Administrator or commercial role.
  • Experience within civil or infrastructure projects (rail experience highly regarded).
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, procurement processes, and cost management principles.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documentation, with sound commercial acumen.
  • Highly organised with strong communication, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills.
