About the role

The OHLE Leading Hand (Overhead Traction Linesman) will support the delivery of overhead line equipment installation and maintenance works on the QTMP Ormeau project. You will play a key role in planning and sequencing works, supporting isolations and access arrangements, and ensuring quality installation of overhead traction systems. Working closely with Supervisors and Engineers, you will help drive safe delivery outcomes across a major rail infrastructure program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate OHLE installation crews to deliver works safely, efficiently and in line with project programme
  • Undertake and supervise installation, assembly and maintenance of overhead traction systems in accordance with drawings and standards
  • Support planning of daily work activities including access, isolations, possessions and resource requirements
  • Ensure all works are completed in compliance with SWMS, rail safety requirements and quality assurance procedures
  • Liaise with Supervisors, Engineers and other disciplines to coordinate interfaces and resolve site delivery issues

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in OHLE installation and maintenance within rail infrastructure projects
  • Previous Leading Hand or senior crew role experience in overhead traction or electrical rail environments
  • Strong understanding of OHLE systems, installation methods and rail safety requirements
  • Ability to lead small teams and coordinate daily work activities on active rail sites
  • Commitment to safety, quality and delivering works in line with programme requirements
