About the role:
DT Infrastructure are currently seeking a Submissions Manager with experience within Transport/Renewables/Defence Construction projects. Based in Sydney, the Submissions Manager plays a pivotal role in securing new work for the business by leading the preparation, development, and delivery of compelling, compliant, and high-quality submissions including but not limited to expressions of interest (EOIs), tenders, capability statements etc.
Operating at the national level, the Submissions Manager works closely with business development, pre-contracts, commercial, estimating, design, delivery, and subject matter experts across the organisation to manage the development of strategic content and ensure submissions align with company objectives, brand, and client expectations/project needs.
This role ensures consistency, efficiency, and best practice in all submission related activities and supports continuous improvement in the company’s submissions processes. It also contributes to positioning the company as a contractor of choice in the infrastructure sector by driving innovative, persuasive, and client-focused outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manages the full submission lifecycle from opportunity planning to final delivery of high-quality EOIs, tenders, and proposals in line with company strategy and client expectations.
- Ensure submissions are compliant, compelling, and accurately reflect the organisation’s capabilities, achievements, and value proposition.
- Develop and manage submission schedules, writing plans, and bid team roles and responsibilities to meet tight deadlines.
- Act as Bid Writer when need or to manage any additional writing resources to deliver content to required standard and within timeframes
- Write, edit, and review submission content across all functions. This includes facilitation of storyboard sessions
Preferred experience/qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or qualification in Project Management, Journalism, Marketing, Construction Management or relevant industry experience.
- 7+ years’ experience in submissions management roles within large construction or infrastructure environments.
- Bid Writing experience highly favoured.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage concurrent deadlines.
- Deep understanding of bid evaluation techniques and client engagement principles.
