About the role:

DT Infrastructure is currently seeking a Senior Bid Writer with experience within Transport/Renewables/Defence Construction projects to join our national submissions team. This position is open to being based in our Sydney or Brisbane office. 

The Senior Bid Writer is a key contributor to the success of the DT Infrastructure’s growth and project acquisition strategy through the development of high-quality, compelling, and client-focused written content for complex infrastructure bids, expressions of interest (EOIs), and proposals.

The Senior Bid Writer is responsible for producing well-structured, engaging, and persuasive narratives that differentiate the business in highly competitive tender environments. This position contributes directly to win outcomes by elevating the quality, clarity and consistency of written content across the bid lifecycle from early bid planning through to post-submission activities.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Translate technical and complex information into clear, concise, and persuasive text that resonates with client needs.
  • Conduct interviews and storyboarding workshops with SMEs to gather critical input.
  • Research, draft, and edit high-quality written content for EOIs, tenders, and major project proposals.
  • Tailor content to different sectors, jurisdictions, and procurement models.
  • Maintain alignment with win themes, client drivers, DTI brand and key messaging strategies.
  • Build strong working relationships with technical teams to ensure accurate and insightful responses.
  • Owns and maintains central content repositories and reusable content libraries, case studies, project sheets, CVs, etc.
  • Coordinates with SMEs to refresh and validate core content.

 

Preferred experience/qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or qualification in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Construction Management or relevant industry experience. 
  • Experience writing high-value bids for complex infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary bid teams under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interviewing and information-gathering techniques.
  • Solid understanding of proposal strategy, win themes, and client-focused writing.
  • Able to manage multiple writing tasks concurrently while meeting strict deadlines.
