The Role

Our GRSF project is currently recruiting an Electrical Project Manager who will report to the Project Director and will be responsible for managing the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of all electrical works across the project. You’ll lead a skilled internal Electrical team as well as subcontractors to ensure electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in line with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.This leadership role will fosters collaborative relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders, and ensures compliance with statutory, contractual, and company requirements.
This is a Site-based position (DIDO) on a major renewable energy construction project with a rostered working arrangement (14/7), with accommodation and allowances provided as applicable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical team throughout construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Oversee all electrical activities including HV/LV systems, inverters, transformers, switchgear, cabling, and grid‑connection works.
• Develop and manage project schedules, electrical scopes, and cost forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and project delivery teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders to maintain quality and performance.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, technical issues, and schedule delays.
• Support testing, commissioning, and successful handover to operations

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proven experience with HV/LV distribution, substations, protection systems, instrumentation, and controls.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety legislation, Australian Standards, and WHS requirements.
• At least 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on renewable energy projects or solar farm construction on utility scale projects over ~100Mw
• Strong experience in developing renewal methodology.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, solar panel installation, and renewable energy systems.
