About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven MEPF Project Engineer to play a pivotal role in delivering one of Sydney’s most iconic mega-infrastructure developments: a state-of-the-art Sydney Metro station build.

In this site-based role, you will lead the end-to-end delivery, technical coordination, installation, and commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire (MEPF) services. You will act as the critical link between design teams, specialist subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure system integration meets rigorous quality, safety, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Services Delivery & Site Supervision: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEPF packages across station structures, underground caverns, services buildings, and platform zones.
• Design & Model Coordination: Manage design reviews, shop drawings, and 3D BIM clash resolution alongside digital engineering teams to prevent site constructability issues.
• Subcontractor Management: Drive daily performance, schedule adherence, and quality standards for trade contractors across HVAC, high/low voltage power, fire protection, hydraulic systems, and station management control systems.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Develop and enforce Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs), test packs, and quality documentation adhering to Sydney Metro, Transport for NSW (TfNSW), and Australian Standards.
• Interface Management: Coordinate MEPF installations with civil, structural, architectural, and rail systems interface partners to maintain critical path schedule milestones.
• Safety & Risk Management: Enforce strict WHS standards, conduct risk assessments, review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and champion site safety practices.

Key Requirements

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent tertiary/trade qualifications with extensive site engineering experience).
• Experience: 4+ years of experience as an MEP / Services Engineer on major building or infrastructure projects (rail, metro stations, underground structures, data centres, or complex commercial towers).
• Standards Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Australian Building Codes (NCC/BCA), Australian Standards (AS/NZS), and familiarity with TfNSW / Sydney Metro technical specifications.
• Digital Capabilities: Practical proficiency in 3D BIM models (Navisworks, Revit) and modern construction management platforms.
• Communication & Leadership: Strong negotiation, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder management skills with a proven track record of managing trade contractors on fast-paced job sites
