About the role

Ready to take the lead on Australia's next generation of rail infrastructure?

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Rail Systems team based in our Sydney Head Office.

Supporting a growing pipeline of upcoming rail infrastructure projects across Australia, you'll take ownership of complex engineering work packages, providing technical leadership from planning through to construction and project completion. Working alongside Project Managers, clients and multidisciplinary delivery teams, you'll play a key role in driving engineering excellence, managing project performance and delivering successful outcomes across a diverse portfolio of rail projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering planning, coordination and delivery across complex rail infrastructure work packages
  • Manage programme, forecasting, procurement and engineering performance to achieve project objectives
  • Coordinate subcontractors, technical stakeholders and project teams to ensure safe, efficient project delivery
  • Drive engineering risk management, constructability reviews and technical problem solving throughout project delivery
  • Ensure quality, contractual and regulatory requirements are achieved while supporting project reporting and commercial outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders while promoting engineering excellence and continuous improvement

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with eligibility for Engineers Australia membership
  • Minimum 5 years' experience delivering major infrastructure or rail construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering management and project delivery
  • Experience managing subcontractors, procurement, forecasting and engineering documentation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
  • A proactive engineer passionate about delivering high-quality infrastructure and mentoring others
