The Role

DT Infrastructure has been appointed to the Sydney Trains MSA panel to be involved in the delivery of its maintenance and major works contract framework. This program is initially set up for 4 years with potential extension to 7 years. 
Reporting to the  SPE/PM you are a Project Engineer with Civils/Geotech experience working in a brownfield rail environment.
With wave 1 & wave 2 due to be released mid 2026 we are looking to bolster the current team in North Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

•    Lead, plan, and coordinate engineering deliverables across complex work packages.
•    Support identification of growth opportunities and innovative delivery approaches.
•    Drive continuous improvement, implement business systems, and uphold quality excellence.
•    Lead technical input into monthly reporting, forecasting, cost reviews, and programme updates.
•    Analyse engineering and construction performance to implement corrective strategies.
•    Ensure accurate and compliant project records, budgets, forecasts, and valuations.
•    Ensure all engineering costs are captured and maintained in financial systems.
•    Lead temporary works design reviews, technical risk assessments, and issue resolution.

 


About you

  • Bachelor of Engineering, Civil
  • Minimum 5  years engineering experience in major infrastructure or Brownfield rail construction projects.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead engineering teams and manage complex technical interfaces.
  • Experience with construction planning, programming, and temporary works.
  • Experience in contractor-side delivery, subcontractor management, and commercial awareness.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex engineering problems and implement solutions.
  • Prior experience with forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
  • Experience in developing and implementing engineering processes and improving workflows.
