The Role

Reporting to the General  Manager NSW, you will play a key role in leading the development and execution of new business planning, business development, tendering and estimating strategies that will result in the BU achieving its objectives in work winning.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Experience in leadership and program management of multiple tenders
  • Lead Bid teams as part of strategic project tenders.
  • Ensure contractual, legal, commercial and legislative compliance skills and regulatory frameworks, systems and key risks are adhered to.
  • Interpret tenders and the application of the commercial and contractual agreements both at Head of Contract and Sub contract level and Security of Payments Act.
  • Manage stakeholder groups across the business
  • Contribute to the development and/or revising of strategic direction for projects or programs.
  • Develop, analyse and report on tender performance compliance.
  • Provide leadership and direction to employees by coaching and mentoring.
  • Establish detailed financial bid management reporting that adequately tracks and forecasts cost performance against budget.
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative, commercial, safety, environmental and quality risk assessment and development of risk controls and actions involved in delivery and implementation of projects.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with DT Infrastructure policies, processes, systems and procedures

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering/Sciences or Project/Construction Management
  • 7-10 years proven experience in business development, tendering, estimating, project management and project delivery
  • Experience within a leading contractor in a similar position leading bids and bid teams
  • Entrepreneurship and market knowledge across multiple sectors, Road, Rail, Renewables, Defence
  • Strong networker with an ability to open doors and establish meaningful business relationships
  • Excellent communications skills for internal and external clients
  • Sound commercial acumen and judgment
