Position Summary
 

Key Responsibilities

Our NSW BU has an opportunity for an experienced People and Culture Business Partner to join our team based in North Sydney.  Reporting into the P&C Operations Manager, you will consult, advise and strategically support the NSW business with your HR/IR expertise in order to deliver business priorities.
What the position looks like:
•    Deliver HR operational plans including workforce Demand Planning, IR, Learning & Development, Remuneration and benefits, Diversity, Talent acquisition and management and HR Operational delivery.
•    Deliver critical HR services including performance management, counselling, workplace investigations.
•    Provide governance on HR policy/procedure and provide HR leadership advice and provide expert and prompt policy / procedure interpretation.
•    Undertakes the strategic planning and preparation for EBA negotiation process where required.
•    Advice and support in the resolution of disputes and grievances, management of union claims and ER policy decisions.
•    Representation at tribunals, presentation at hearings as required and represent management in the negotiation and settlement of grievances.
•    Advise and evaluate sub-contractor ER capability and take an active role in ongoing compliance management.
•    Provide advice and interpretation of industrial agreements/conditions and obligations
•    Assist key stakeholders with the development and implementation of ER management plans and provide guidance on the development of specific risk mitigation strategies as part of the participation in client tender preparation processes.
•    Managing a budget, while showing clear and tangible outcomes from executing and delivering projects, plans, change programs and events aligned to the overall business strategies.
About you:
You are a resourceful HRBP who can demonstrate your experience in providing strategic HR advice and support to leaders on various people-related issues.  You lead by example experience, make it a priority to develop strategic partnerships across the business, can work to tight time frames in a fast paced and changing environment.  You will also have:
•    Tertiary qualifications related to Human Resources & Industrial Relations essential.
•    Proven experience in a senior HR/IR role in large, multi-site construction environment.
•    Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with ability to positively influence, negotiate, persuade, and engage across a wide range of stakeholders.
•    Exemplary written and oral communication skills with the ability to turn work around very quickly.
•    Highly organised and self-motivated – must be outcomes focused, strategic, hands on, and operational, with exceptional technical capability.
•    Highly supportive, team orientated organisation.
