THE ROLE

As a result of our success and growth we are now seeking an enthusiastic Lead or Senior Electrical Estimator to join the team. The role has a range of flexible working allowances and will be able to accommodate the right candidate in any state of Australia.

 

To be successful in this role you'll have experience within infrastructure construction, ensuring accurate estimates of the total cost of projects are completed on time and in accordance with required technical and company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work collaboratively with a team of Estimators across Renewable Energy and Electrical construction projects bids and tenders
  • Collective responsibility to implement and contribute to the development of business plans
  • Preparing tenders for engineering, procurement and construction contracts desirable
  • Prepare accurate and timely narrative monthly reports that contain movements and progress
  • Ensure accuracy of tender information, wage & enterprise agreement, labour hours, subcontractor pricing and material prices that are input into price sheets & estimating databases
  • Opportunity to liaise with the clients

ABOUT YOU

  • High degree in understanding of detailed engineering, planning and scheduling
  • Proven experience in an Electrical Estimator role 
  • Experience working with renewable energy construction project estimates is highly regarded
  • Provide supervision, coaching and development of less experienced team members and estimating resources
  • Proficient in computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite and on-screen take off and estimating softwares
  • Able to evaluate information quickly, identifying key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgement, experience and common sense
  • Able to develop strategic alliances with suppliers and subcontractors
