THE ROLE
We are now seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join our team on an exciting renewable project Boulder Creek Wind Farm located near Rockhampton, Queensland.
You will ideally be located locally or willing to relocate close to project site. Drive in Drive out roster 5days on 2days off.
Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all personnel on-site while promoting a culture of safety-first. This is your opportunity to work on a renewable energy project that contributes to Australia’s sustainable future.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety plans in accordance with legislative and company requirements.
- Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Provide guidance and training to employees and subcontractors to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to integrate safety into daily operations.
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience as a Safety Advisor in the construction, civil, or renewable energy industries.
- Strong knowledge of Australian workplace health and safety legislation and standards.
- Formal qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety (Cert IV or higher).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead by example.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Experience with renewable energy projects or remote site environments is highly regarded.
