Key Responsibilities
This is a pivotal role to support our expanding portfolio in renewable energy projects, directly contributing to DTI's strategic growth objectives. We are now looking to further enhance our procurement division with the appointment of a Procurement Manager with experience in Renewables (Solar, Wind and BESS), Infrastructure and Construction projects. You will be reporting into the Head of Procurement as your base function, while also forming part of the Pre-contracts and Delivery teams for projects that you will be working on.
You will lead the sourcing and procuring goods and services that meet project specifications, budget, quality, and compliance with DTI policies. This includes leveraging DTI’s strategic contracts and supplier partnerships to maximise value while ensuring procurement activities align with organisational goals and project requirements.
Some of the key tasks required for this role include:
• Manage tender/project sourcing activities, including commercial evaluations and award recommendations, while overseeing all procurement functions to ensure effective sourcing aligns with project schedules, specifications and budgets
• Interface with other DTI departments and vendors for all matters related to the procurement of project materials, equipment and services scope
• Develop, in conjunction with DTI Project Delivery teams, the Project Procurement Plan and Execution Strategy
• Develop and maintain a commercially sound vendor base, including non-traditional sources, while managing the Project 'Approved Vendor List' in the sourcing system
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to foster collaboration and drive value for renewable and infrastructure projects.
• Monitor market conditions, pricing, and delivery trends to optimise procurement decisions for project materials and equipment
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly reports for procurement progress
Qualifications
About You
• 3 to 5 years experience as a Procurement / Category / Contracts / Commercial Manager Role/s
• Proven experience in renewable construction projects (Solar, Wind, and BESS), with a strong understanding of procuring technical equipment and materials for Renewable, Infrastructure, and Construction projects
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Good communication, presentation and influencing skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong problem solving / solutions development skills
