DT Infrastructure have been awarded the contract to Design, Construction and Commission the Rail maintenance facility and stabling yards at Ormeau, in the Gold Coast region.
Your Opportunity

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced IR Manager to support the QTMP project based in our Ormeau site office reporting to the National IR Manager. You will be working closely with our existing team of Senior Project Managers, Superintendents & Supervisors, providing advice and assistance to enable the project to achieve its goals through effective learning, development, and overall people management.

Responsibilities

•    Liaise with all levels of workforce with the ability to manage and resolve issues.
•    Ability to develop relationships with external stakeholders as well as project staff.
•    Identifying issues and assist in developing strategies to mitigate these or possible upcoming risks.
•    Strong understanding of the Fair Work act as well as industrial instruments/agreements.
•    Managing compliance and providing support to management and personnel.
•    Managing and delivering all training on all aspects of IR & HR.
•    Enhancing DT Infrastructures external and internal relations through displaying professionalism in all interactions.
•    Demonstrating personal behaviour that uphold DT Infrastructure values.
•    Working with people at all levels and developing a strong understanding of the work process and sequencing.
•    Ensuring the effective and efficient use of DT Infrastructure processes and systems.
•    Develop solutions and facilitate decision making with a wide range of tools and stakeholder input.

About You

•    Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employment Relations and/or Business.
•    Demonstrable and successful ‘hands on’ experience in a related IR position on a major project
•    Hands on 10 years + experience in IR/HR 
•    Knowledge and a sound understanding of contemporary IR management and workplace relations.
•    Demonstrated ability to proactively build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders/clients to support delivery and create business value.
•    Demonstrates ability to build and maintain a wide knowledge and understanding of the business environment and strategies, translating these into specific IR tactics and actions.
•    Conduct investigations with best practice processes.
•    Able to provide advice and support around performance management, EEO and able to problem solve and identify solutions.
•    Experience within the Engineering / Construction industry.
