About the role:

 

As the HSSEQ Systems & Reporting Manager, you will lead the charge in safeguarding our operations and empowering our teams, by strategically managing compliance with FSC, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and legislative requirements, and by architecting a forward-thinking HSSEQ Integrated Management System (IMS) that drives project success and supports in maintaining compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of DTI’s accredited HSSEQ management systems, ensuring alignment with ISO 450001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and FSC accreditation requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with WHS legislation, environmental regulations, and industry-specific obligations, including updates to legislation and changes in risk exposure.
  • Support operational teams by providing HSSE & Q governance advice, training, and guidance, ensuring that all levels of the business understand their risk management responsibilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and continuous support to projects and the regional safety teams with respect to work health and safety matters.
  • Undertake data analysis to identify emerging trends, conduct of risk assessments, and proposal of risk control strategies.
  • Track, analyse, and report on HSSE performance metrics, lead and lag indicators, and non-conformances.
  • Effective implementation of DTI IMS HSSE & Q policy, procedures through training, coaching and regular communication.
  • Conduct scheduled internal HSSE & Q audits, supporting operations to resolve any resulting corrective actions.
  • Monitor, communicate and implement statutory changes as required.

Qualifications and experience:

 

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Health, Safety, Environment  or Quality essential
  • Drivers’ license (C class) essential
  • Quality/Safety Lead Internal Auditor or similar desirable
  • Lead ICAM Incident Investigation or similar desirable
  • Knowledge of applicable statutory provisions across multiple jurisdictions, FSC & ISO45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and Risk Management ISO 31000
  • 5+ years’ in a HSSE or Quality practitioner role in relevant industries
  • Experience in writing and review IMS documentation
  • Experience conducting audits and preparation of corrective actions and reports
  • Preparation and delivery of various HSSEQ Awareness or Training Programs
  • Ability to prepare management and data analysis reports, consult with operations and consolidate findings
