The Role:

As the Design Manager for rail systems projects in Brisbane, you will report to the Senior Project Manager. Your role involves overseeing and guiding the design processes to ensure compliance with client standards, project budgets, and timelines. You will serve as the primary contact for all aspects of rail systems design, from initial client and market interactions to tendering and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive records of design processes, decisions, and changes.
• Ensuring safety, constructability and budget is effectively built into the design and promoting improvements.
• Technical review of design documentation.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve design efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and clients.

About You:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
• Experience in rail design and design management in large-scale infrastructure projects is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders. #LI-DNI
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in designs.
• Understanding of safety principles and risk management practices.
