Key Responsibilities
Our Qld BU is experiencing strong growth and now looking to bolster the commercial capability in the region, so your expertise in pre & post contract management, coupled with experience in the renewables sector will be highly regarded.
Reporting to the National Commercial Manager, this is a newly created position to assist our pre contracts activities before moving to a project-based role where you will manage the function though the delivery phase.
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to,
Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrable and successful experience in commercial management of projects & work winning at similar level
- Demonstrated ability in proactively building relationships with key stakeholders and develop new business opportunities
- Ability to review and develop new processes and streamline transactional activities
- Ability to lead and inspire teams
- Ability to contribute to the preparation of contract claims and review financial information
- Ability to implement an effective and empowered organisational structure
- Management experience (general and operational) with capability to develop business plans and delivery responsibility
- Experience in researching and understanding complex information to develop and implement business solutions
- Ability to proactively manage dispute process with clients and subcontractors.
- Working knowledge of the common law, state and federal regulations and statue as it relates to commercial issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree, Quantity Surveying
- 10+ years experience (construction), ideally in a senior commercial role
- Excellent communications skills for internal and external clients
- Good working knowledge of construction law and its related contracts
- Good working knowledge of turnkey construction contracts
- Sound commercial acumen and judgment
