Our project team is looking to bolster the Electrical team with the appointment of an additional Superintendent with strong technical expertise in large‑scale solar farm construction and high‑voltage electrical infrastructure. The successful candidate will provide field‑level leadership across all electrical works, ensuring strict adherence to engineering specifications, network standards, Australian legislation, and commissioning protocols.
This is a Site-based position (DIDO) on a major renewable energy construction project with a rostered working arrangement (14/7), with accommodation and allowances provided as applicable. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day supervision and leadership to electrical crews, subcontractors and site personnel
  • Oversee installation of DC, AC and HV electrical systems, including PV arrays, inverters, switchgear, transformers and grid‑connection infrastructure
  • Coordinate work sequencing, allocation and progress tracking to ensure on‑time delivery
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with Australian Standards, network requirements, WHS legislation and project specifications
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections and maintain detailed documentation
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and HSE teams to manage risks, resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure strict adherence to site safety, permitting and isolation procedures
  • Support commissioning activities and facilitate handover to the operations team

 

About you

  • Electrical trade qualification and NSW electrical licence
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Superintendent, Supervisor or similar role on large‑scale construction projects—renewables or HV experience highly desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of HV/LV systems, solar farm construction and grid‑connection requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and manage diverse site teams
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving and organisational skills
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and delivery
