Through engineering innovation, collaborative contracting and leading sustainability practices we’re unlocking opportunities for a better tomorrow.

About the role

DT Infrastructure, as part of the TasVic Greenlink joint venture with Samsung C&T Corporation Australia, has been awarded the contract to deliver the Balance of Works package for Marinus Link Stage 1.

With a strong pipeline of work in renewable energy projects, we are seeking a high-calibre Senior Planner in VIC to join us on this once-in-a-generation project.

Working collaboratively with the project delivery team, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and analysis of complex project schedules and maintenance planning activities. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations meet all budget, forecast, and quality targets, while supporting subcontractors and suppliers in understanding their scheduling requirements, milestones, and statutory reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and resource forecasts using specialized software.
  • Partner with Project Managers, Engineers, and finance teams to integrate multi-discipline workflows and track progress.
  • Perform resource leveling to ensure maximum, balanced utilization of personnel and equipment.
  • Analyze business trends, provide accurate monthly performance reports, and implement corrective actions for budget variances.
  • Maintain standard planning procedures and ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards and timeframes.
  • Ensure all activities, team objectives, and systems align with DTI policies, safety standards, and statutory regulations.

Experience and capabilities:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline; a Civil, Mechanical, or Engineering Trade qualification is highly regarded.
  • 5+ years of planning or scheduling experience within the Engineering, Electrical, Construction, or Rail sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency in project planning software, specifically Primavera.
  • Proven expertise in project planning, tender analysis, estimating, and resource optimization.
  • Solid understanding of diverse business life cycles, operational challenges, and structural improvements.
  • Strong working knowledge of OH&S standards and employee relations legislation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
