About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our growing team and can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane or North Sydney. This pivotal role will provide strategic legal advice for our national business across a broad range of infrastructure and construction projects – from tender through to delivery – while safeguarding the organisation’s commercial and legal interests.

Key responcibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Australian regulatory and governance requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, project managers, and commercial leaders.

About you

  • Current practising certificate and relevant legal qualifications (LLB or equivalent).
  • Minimum 8+ years post-admission experience, with a strong focus on major infrastructure projects including transport and civil infrastructure and renewable energy.
  • Proven expertise across both front-end (transactional) and back-end (dispute resolution) legal matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice that balances risk management with commercial outcomes.
  • Strong drafting, review and negotiation skills including an ability to manage high-value transactions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with senior executives, project managers, and engineers.
  • High levels of integrity, sound judgment, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
