DT Infrastructure, as part of the TasVic Greenlink joint venture with Samsung C&T Corporation Australia, has been awarded the contract to deliver the Balance of Works package for Marinus Link Stage 1.

Job Summary

With a strong pipeline of work in renewable energy projects, we are seeking high-calibre Senior Health & Safety Advisors based in VIC to join us on this once in a generation project. You will be responsible for ensuring that all business unit operations and management activities comply with local HSE management plans. This includes regularly reviewing and updating risk registers, implementing programs outlined in the DTI HSE plans, and supporting the effective implementation of the HSE Integrated Management System (IMS).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and guidance to management and employees on safety regulations, best practices, and hazard control. 

• Conduct workplace safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. 

• Develop and implement safety programs and procedures to mitigate risks and improve safety performance. 

• Deliver safety training programs for employees on various safety topics. 

• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, determining root causes and recommending preventive measures. 

Experience and capabilities:

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Health, Safety & Environment, Business, or related discipline (essential)
• Strong knowledge of statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in an HSE practitioner role, including 2+ years’ relevant industry experience
• Proven experience conducting audits and preparing corrective actions and reports
• Experience developing and delivering HSE awareness and training programs
• Ability to prepare management and data analysis reports and consult with operations to consolidate findings
• Strong capability to interpret and analyse safety data and performance results
• Experience guiding and coaching managers, supervisors, and operational teams on HSE IMS implementation and continuous improvement
