Job Description: 

Gamuda Engineering, a fully owned subsidiary of Gamuda Berhad, is a reputable Engineering and Construction contractor that specialises in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Transport, Civil and Energy Infrastructure projects.


With a proved track record in delivering innovative and complex infrastructure projects in Australia and internationally, Gamuda’s strategy is to invest in, develop and construct large-scale renewable energy projects with a focus on wind, solar and BESS developments and EPC projects.


We are currently mobilising our team to delivery one of Victoria’s most significant renewable energy projects in southwest Victoria, an integrated 450 MW solar and 600 MW BESS hybrid project.


The role

 

Working closely with our engineering & construction delivery team you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management systems and practices for the project. This will include:

•    Preparation and regular updating of the project Quality Plan and associated documentation.
•    Develop and manage project ITPs and Quality Documentation.
•    Preparation of all Quality Audits on consultants, suppliers and sub-contractors to verify compliance with project requirements.
•    Track and investigate any non-conformances and make recommendations to rectify and develop process improvements.
•    Liaise with subcontractors to monitor performance and resolve any quality issues.
•    Ensure that all project activities, processes and systems comply with applicable Quality certification and relevant standards.
•    Consolidate quality data and prepare Quality reporting packs. 

The role will be based on-site in western Victoria on a regular 5:2 roster. Relocation assistance will be provided if required.


Your skills and experience

 

You will be an experienced project Quality Manager with experience in complex infrastructure projects ideally including renewable energy projects. Specific skills and experience will include:

•    Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or Quality Management.
•    A strong understanding of quality standard, procedures, processes and best practice in Quality Management.
•    Experience developing and implementing project ITP's and other QA & QC documentation and process.
•    Ability to conduct quality audits and inspections.
•    Well-developed people management skills that encourage staff to perform at optimum levels without compromising on standards.
