Proposals Manager

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to join our Strategy & Growth team in Melbourne VIC, working across various construction project opportunities within civil, transport, renewable energy, utilities and other specialized business unit scope.

Reporting to the National Submissions Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the overarching success of our Expression of Interest, Request for Tender and other bid related responses.

You ideally come from a Bid Writing background and will be working in a team of 8 comprising of Proposal Managers, Bid Coordinator, Graphic Designer and Bid Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Focus on maintaining the highest quality of bid submissions by managing the timely preparation, review and submission of tenders
• Interpret the Client’s deliverable expectations and brief the Bid team on scope of work 
• Acts as a Bid Writing resource when required, which includes facilitation of storyboard sessions and working with SMEs to create content
• Apply best practice to bid written response and review and oversee responses developed by other team members
• Working with our Graphic Designers, you will manage the graphics and production associated with tender submissions
• Work closely with other Proposal Managers to ensure sharing of information across submissions
   

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Marketing, Journalism, Business, Project Management or appropriate industry experience.
• Proven experience within a Pre-Contracts/Submissions environment, ideally within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 organisation, this includes working as a Proposal Manager and/or Bid Writer
• Experience in preparing tenders for Design & Construction, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts, Public Private Partnership’s (PPP), collaborative contracting and alliance contracts. 
• Fluency in MS suite. Basic understanding of InDesign, Illustrator Photoshop & Adobe-Pro preferred but not essential
• Ability to manage multiple submissions at varying stages of completion simultaneously
• Relationship builder who can communicate at all levels
