About the role
DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Pre-Contracts Manager, based in Melbourne, Sydney or Melbourne, to join our national Rail business.
As part of the National Rail senior Leadership Team, this role will be responsible for leading directing and coordinating work winning and business development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the development and on-going management of the 5-year Business Plan for the national Rail business.
- Accountable for achievement of Business Plan / Program objectives through high performance goals set in collaboration with the Rail senior leadership team. Manage and coordinate business development opportunities across Rail clients, including feedback from clients throughout the project life-cycle.
- Manage the tender teams to ensure tenders are delivered in alignment with the annual tender budget.
- Overall responsibility for development of tenders including pricing, written content, methodology and inputs to submission schedule.
- Mentor and support to key bid personnel to ensure an engaged and productive team.
- Escalation point to resolve issues and confirm the way forward for tendering activity.
- Manage in conjunction with Commercial Management team contract reviews and the identification of risk, commercial qualifications and any necessary term and condition departures.
Experience and capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business or technical qualifications in a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in rail on programs/projects $5m to $75m+.
- Related experience in a similar role preferably within a rail business.
- Demonstratable experience working to tight time frames in a changing environment and ability to work under pressure and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Outcome focused, hands on, and operational, with good technical capability.
- Self-motivated and possessing good planning skills demonstrating high attention to detail.
- Able to build solid understanding of the business priorities to deliver a high standard of effective and integrated solutions and winning proposals.
