About the Role
Based in our Melbourne Head Office, we are seeking an influential HR Manager to drive strategic and operational HR outcomes across corporate functions and Victorian project operations. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will partner with senior executive and project leadership to provide expert HR advice, manage workforce planning, lead employee relations, and execute people strategies across the full employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide commercial HR counsel and strategic advisory across corporate business units and project operations.
- Lead resourcing strategy, project mobilization, and organizational structuring, providing HR inputs into major tenders.
- Manage complex ER/IR matters, workplace compliance, modern awards, and policy frameworks.
- Act as senior HR point of contact for Victorian project delivery teams and regional site operations (including Mortlake).
- Drive performance review cycles, talent development, succession planning, and remuneration benchmarking.
- Implement learning and development programs alongside diversity & inclusion initiatives to foster a high-performing culture.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with proven success in a Senior HRBP or HR Manager role within major construction, engineering, or infrastructure.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment law, modern awards and workplace compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in bid resourcing, workforce planning, and project mobilization/demobilization.
- Exceptional communication and coaching skills with the confidence to influence senior leadership and project directors.
