About the role

 

DT Infrastructure, as part of the TasVic Greenlink joint venture with Samsung C&T Corporation Australia, has been awarded the contract to deliver the Balance of Works package for Marinus Link Stage 1

 

We are seeking a Health and Safety Administrator to join this once-in-a-generation project. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to support and promote health, safety, environmental, and injury management practices on the Marinus Link Project, ensuring safe systems of work and compliance with relevant legislation.

 

Key responsibilities include

 

  • Support HSE teams with data entry, reporting, and maintaining safety systems (INX/InControl).
  • Coordinate safety activities including toolbox talks, inspections, audits, and drug & alcohol testing.
  • Assist with incident reporting, workers compensation, and return-to-work processes.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, documentation, and compliance with legislation and DTI procedures.
  • Support audits and continuous improvement of safety, environment, and quality systems.
  • Liaise with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure HSE compliance across sites.

 

 

 

Experience and capabilities:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 
  • Current driver’s licence and Construction Induction (White Card).
  • Administrative experience with strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work independently or in a team.
  • Understanding of WHS legislation, workers compensation, and safety/environmental systems (construction experience desirable).
  • Proactive, self-motivated team player with sound judgement and problem-solving ability.
