Position Objective.

This newly created position reporting to the EGM People & Ops Services will have you lead the design, implementation, and oversight of a comprehensive national framework for social impact, first nations and workforce development across DT Infrastructure. Managing a national team it will be your remit to ensure the framework and outcomes enhance DT Infrastructures ability to exceed client expectations and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and manage the team in industry leading social impact initiatives, with a focus on governance and operational delivery
  • Plan and deliver innovative programs including job readiness, vocational training and skilling, workplace diversity and inclusion, careers planning, mentoring and industry exposure to engage and support people from disadvantaged groups
  • Access key funding models and programs
  • Establish and maintain appropriate systems for the accurate collection and validation of WDIP data for group and projects.
  • Lead and develop cultural diversity and First Nations awareness initiatives
  • Attend industry and internal events and act as a spokesperson to promote DT Infrastructure’s social impact achievements
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to understand current and future client expectations within the broader social impact function
  • Represent the company at community, industry bodies, employment agencies, education providers to identify areas of mutual benefit and promote DT Infrastructure’s activities to a wider audience

 

About you,

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in managing a broad Social Impact team at a senior level or similar role within the construction industry or related sectors
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong ability to build, influence and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • In-depth understanding of the construction industry's landscape
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry environment, adapting strategies to meet changing organisational needs and challenges effectively
