About the role
DT Infrastructure, as part of the TasVic Greenlink joint venture with Samsung C&T Corporation Australia, has been awarded the contract to deliver the Balance of Works package for Marinus Link Stage 1
We are seeking an Environmental Advisor to join this once-in-a-generation project, leading environmental coordination and promoting best-practice systems to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with environmental approvals, permits, and legislation.
- Monitor and support the implementation of environmental management plans on-site.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and reporting on environmental performance.
- Guide project teams and subcontractors on environmental requirements.
- Manage environmental risks, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders on environmental matters.
Experience and capabilities
- Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field (or equivalent industry experience), with a recognised Auditor qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil, rail, or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of environmental and WHS legislation, and quality systems (ISO9001).
- Proven communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to analyse data and prepare clear reports.
- Well-organised, proactive team player with the ability to prioritise, use initiative, and work with minimal supervision.
