We are seeking an experienced  Logistics Manager (ideally with Renewables exp) to join our project team for a major utility-scale solar farm project in NSW. In this critical role, you will lead the end-to-end logistics, procurement, and supply chain operations for DTI Works, ensuring the seamless delivery of equipment and materials to site.

 

The Role


Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of logistics programs in line with contract requirements. You will integrate multi-discipline activities to achieve project targets and ensure all delivery standards, formats, and timeframes are strictly maintained.
This is a site-based position on a major renewable energy construction project in the Upper Hunter Valley, with a rostered working arrangement (14/7), with accommodation and allowances provided as applicable. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure ordering, shipping, maintenance of stored inventory, and results are consistently met.
  • Maintain a material management system to provide total visibility, conduct shortage analysis, and take appropriate actions to minimise project impacts.
  • Account for the quantity and quality of equipment from the time of delivery through to the completion of a bilateral inventory.
  • Establish and coordinate site delivery procedures 
  • Coordinate inventories, supply levels, and ensure thorough coordination with commercial shippers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Control and effectively communicate technical issues as they arise.
  • Manage a program-specific budget, including targets and spending profiles related to material and equipment supply.
  • Provide real-time status reports, covering program overviews, risk assessments, mitigation recommendations, shipping schedules, and unique customer requirements.
  • Provide data and transportation cost proposals for approval.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and support customer presentations as required.
  • Provide "leadership by example" to the whole team, demonstrating personal behaviors that uphold DTI values.
  • Retain and develop key talent, driving a high-performing, engaged workforce while developing operational flexibilities.
  • Encourage an environment of shared knowledge and continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date with professional operational and leadership practices.
  • Make decisions within the guidelines established by DTI policies, practices, procedures, and relevant regulations.

 

About You


To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative leader with a passion for customer-focused outcomes, driving safety, quality, and sustainability. 

You will possess:

 

  • A relevant qualification and experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in logistics/supply chain, with at least 5 years of experience leading a team.
  • A strong understanding of all aspects of project delivery.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative nature to effectively engage with multiple internal, external, and client stakeholder groups
