Job Description: 

Gamuda Engineering, a fully owned subsidiary of Gamuda Berhad, is a reputable Engineering and Construction contractor that specialises in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Transport, Civil and Energy Infrastructure projects. With a proved track record in delivering innovative and complex infrastructure projects in Australia and internationally, Gamuda’s strategy is to invest in, develop and construct large-scale renewable energy projects with a focus on wind, solar and BESS developments and EPC projects.

 

We are currently mobilising our team to delivery one of Victoria’s most significant renewable energy projects in southwest Victoria, an integrated 450 MW solar and 600 MW BESS hybrid project.

 

The role

 

Working closely with our procurement & construction delivery teams, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the project's supply chain and logistics operations. This will include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive project logistics management plan, material tracking systems, and delivery schedules to align with the construction program.
  • Managing the safe and efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of high-value materials and large-scale equipment, including solar components and BESS units.
  • Coordinating international and domestic suppliers, freight forwarders, and local transport authorities to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.
  • Overseeing site inventory, laydown areas, and warehouse management to optimize space and material handling on-site.
  • Tracking logistics budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and mitigating supply chain risks.
  • Ensuring all logistics activities comply with project health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

 

The role will be based on-site in western Victoria on a regular 5:2 roster. Relocation assistance will be provided if required.

 

Your skills and experience

 

You will be an experienced Logistics Manager with a strong background in large-scale and complex infrastructure projects, ideally including regional infrastructure projects. Specific skills and experience will include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or Engineering.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end logistics and site material handling for major EPC or construction projects.
  • A strong understanding of heavy haulage, import/export regulations, and inventory management systems.
  • Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills to liaise effectively with suppliers, site teams, and transport authorities.
