About the role:
DT Infrastructure, as part of the TasVic Greenlink joint venture with Samsung C&T Corporation Australia, has been awarded the contract to deliver the Balance of Works package for Marinus Link Stage 1
We are seeking an Senior Environmental Advisor based in Leongatha to join us on this once-in-a-generation project to provide professional advice to operational management, lead environmental compliance, and drive sustainability initiatives across the project. You will ensure strict adherence to conditions of approval, implement Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), mentor site environmental personnel, and maintain ISO 14001 certification standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement environmental sustainability strategies, CEMPs, and TVGL Zero Harm standards across site operations.
- Oversee compliance with project conditions of approval, statutory legislation, and ISO 14001 certification requirements.
- Conduct environmental audits, review site work method statements, and verify contractor environmental compliance.
- Lead environmental incident investigations, analyze sustainability data, and manage statutory reporting (including NGER).
- Guide, support, and mentor site Environmental Officers and project personnel.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
Experience and capabilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Environmental Compliance or Environmental Management role on major infrastructure projects.
- Strong working knowledge of environmental management systems (ISO 14001), CEMPs, and statutory reporting (NGER).
- Demonstrated experience conducting environmental audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
- Current Victorian Driver’s License required.
