The Role

 

We’re looking for an energetic legal assistant/paralegal to join our legal team based in our corporate head office in North Sydney. Reporting to our Head of Legal, this is a wide-ranging role supporting the in-house legal and compliance team at Gamuda.

 

Specific accountabilities will include:


•    Reviewing basic legal documents (for e.g., confidentiality deeds and purchase orders).
•    Maintaining legal files, databases, and contract records.
•    Managing correspondence, mail, and scheduling for the legal team.
•    Coordinating documentation execution with internal and external stakeholders.  
•    Preparing meeting materials, take minutes, and support process improvements.
•    Assisting with low-risk contract reviews and ensure compliance with internal policies and checklists.
•    Providing executive support to the Group General Counsel and Head of Legal (travel and expenses).
•    Assisting with company secretarial matters, including maintaining books and records and preparing board resolutions.
•    Maintaining the Legal & Governance intranet site and Group Compliance Policies on our Corporate Intranet Site.
 

Your skills & experience

 

Ideally you will have qualifications in administration or law with experience in a legal administration or paralegal role, along with:
•    Well-developed legal research skills.
•    Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
•    Ability to prioritise under pressure and remain adaptable.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google suite.
•    Sound communication skills.
•    A positive approach with demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
