About the role
Due to large scale projects coming online we are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Superintendents interested in joining DT Infrastructure. This role is a full-time position where you will be working on a 8:6 FIFO Roster on the Paraburdoo Runway upgrade doing permanent night shift.
Key Responsibilities
- The preparation of Project Plans and JSEAs or SWMS which include; safety, quality assurance and environmental considerations.
- The identification of needs relating to and procurement of plant, labour and materials - within the limits of delegation.
- Select project personnel, allocate work, monitor progress, and have overall responsibility for ensuring that the following functions are carried out effectively.
- Provide financial control assistance to allow accurate cost reporting.
- The handling and resolution of queries from suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Manage all administration of the workforce, including, but not limited to, certification of competencies, leave, pay issues and PPE.
About You
- Experience in the rail/construction industry and Asphalt essential
- Mentoring experience for supervisors
- Commitment to the environment, quality and safety
- Management of large work forces on and off site
- Well-developed planning skills
- Well-developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding and ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
- Comprehensive knowledge of the rail industry
- Assist in the development of the construction methodology
