About the role


We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our WA team working on upcoming renewables projects in the Pilbara region. The Project Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and commercially successful delivery of large-scale construction projects, with a focus on solar, renewable energy, and remote WA resources projects.


The role oversees strategic planning, construction execution, multi-disciplinary coordination, procurement, commercial management, scheduling, and compliance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to required quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain strong, transparent relationships with clients, key stakeholders, regulators, and subcontractors to ensure expectations are understood and met.
  • Negotiate and resolve scope, scheduling, and contractual issues in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
  • Take accountability for HSE performance on the project, ensuring compliance with DTI policies, statutory requirements, and client HSE obligations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement mitigation strategies for project risks, including schedule, cost, and technical risks.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to achieve milestones efficiently.

Experience and capabilities

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager on large-scale projects ($150M+).
  • Solar / Renewables project experience highly preferred.
  • Experience in remote areas and WA resources sector preferred.
  • Experience in coordinating teams of 15+ personnel with multi-disciplinary delivery experience: civil, electrical, mechanical, piling.
  • Knowledge of WA resources subcontractors, especially in the Pilbara.
