About the role


With on-going and new project awards, we are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor/Safety Advisor interested in joining DT Infrastructure to support our rail operations projects through-out the South West of WA.

 

This role is a full time position, based at our Henderson operations, where you will be working Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend work and a requirement to work away from home for certain periods. You will work collaboratively with the project delivery teams to ensure compliance to DTI policies/procedures and statutory responsibilities across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support operations to execute DTI and client HSE initiatives.
  • Effective implementation of DTI HSE policy, procedures & standards through training, coaching and regular communication.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and assist with solution development and implementation.
  • Coach and support local managers to develop and review HSE management plans and risk registers, consistent with site/project needs.
  • Coach operational teams with sub-contractor management requirements including review of SWMS, ATWPs, completion of DTI and site inductions, participation in pre-starts, conduct of daily plant check sheets and compliance with HSEMPs.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to promote a positive health and safety culture.

About You

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the Tier 1 construction industry, preferably with experience dealing with WA resource clients.
  • Able to evaluate information quickly, identifying key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgement, experience and common sense.
  • Ability to work under broad direction, exercise initiative and be innovative in the approach to problem solving.
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessing or similar desirable.
  • Lead ICAM Incident Investigation or similar require.
  • Rail Systems knowledge and experience preferred.
