Job Summary
The General Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks to support the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports. This role involves maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data. The General Accountant will work closely with other members of the finance and accounting team to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and to contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain the general ledger by preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets, on a regular basis. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.

Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to management.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
