The Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced HR/IR Manager to join the DT Infrastructure team. This is a site-based position in regional NSW on a major construction project with a rostered working arrangement, with accommodation and allowances provided as applicable. DIDO, 2/1 Roster.
Reporting to the Project Director, You will provide HR/IR advice and support to the project leadership team to enable project deliverables are achieved through effective people management.
You will have experience working on regional projects with a workforce accommodated in a camp.
Key Responsibilities
Being a hands-on leader who drives outcomes you will Implement and administer approved HR/IR policies and programs to ensure business practices comply with relevant standards, legislation and company policy.
- Assume an active leadership role in managing aspects of Project logistics \ including rosters, travel and Project Camp Operations.
- Lead and manage the full suite of ER/IR activities for the Project inclusive of review and management of subcontractor ER/IR.
- Provide leadership, management and governance regarding project mobilisation and demobilisation activities associated with the workforce plan.
- Provide expert advice on all facets of human resources including performance, employee development and engagement; employee relations, contract/industrial instrument interpretation and management.
- Participate as a senior member of the Project Leadership team, taking on roles and responsibilities associated with delivery of Project Outcomes.
- Utilise and champion use of the Performance Management Systems
- Encourage a healthy environment on the Project including implementing and supporting health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Work collegiately as part of the broader HR team/network.
About You
- Bachelor of Human Resources and/ or Business and or Higher degree qualifications
- Demonstrable and successful ‘hands on’ experience in a related Human Resources Management / Business Partner role operating as an effective HR professional and being viewed as a credible, trusted partner; leader.
- Knowledge and a sound understanding of contemporary HR management and workplace relations.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders/clients to support delivery and create business value.
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
- Experience with managing and maintaining project Rosters and Camp Operations.
