About the role

DT Infrastructure has been named the preferred EPC contractor for the Major's Creek Solar & Battery Project near Townsville and is seeking an experienced HR IR Manager to join the team.

Working closely with the Project Director and Leadership Team, you will lead all project HR and Industrial Relations activities, providing trusted advice and driving workforce planning, mobilisation, employee relations, industrial relations and workforce development outcomes.

This is a key project leadership role offering the opportunity to help establish the workforce foundations and culture for one of North Queensland's significant renewable energy projects.

The role is offered on a 14/7 FIFO roster from a Queensland homeport to Townsville, or for candidates based locally in the Townsville region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all project HR and industrial relations activities, providing trusted advice to the Project Director and Leadership Team.
  • Establish and embed workforce management systems, policies and processes that support safe, productive and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Drive mobilisation, onboarding, workforce planning, performance management and demobilisation activities across the project.
  • Manage employee relations, investigations, case management and subcontractor IR compliance while ensuring legislative and enterprise agreement obligations are met.
  • Champion workforce development, social impact initiatives and a positive project culture aligned with DT Infrastructure's values.

About you

  • Degree qualified in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in HR/IR leadership roles within Tier 1 infrastructure, construction or major project environments; renewable energy project experience highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks and workforce management practices.
  • Proven experience managing performance, investigations, case management, workforce planning and complex industrial relations matters in project environments.
  • A proactive, resilient and solutions-focused leader with excellent communication skills and a passion for building high-performing teams and positive workplace cultures.
