A joint venture between John Holland and Gamuda Australia has been selected by Transport for NSW to deliver the M1 Pacific Motorway extension to Raymond Terrace Southern Package - a key missing link in one of the country's busiest transport corridors.

 

The circa $1bn southern package will deliver a 10-kilometre dual carriageway motorway extension between Black Hill and Tomago. There will be 8 bridges that include a 2.6km viaduct and new congestion-busting interchanges at Black Hill, Tarro and Tomago.

The Role

Based in our project office in Tarro you will support the People Lead and project leadership team in providing both strategic and operational HR advice and coordinate people management activities including:

 

  • Supporting resource planning and recruitment activities for the project delivery team
  • Onboarding and induction of new employees onto the project and relevant systems along with guiding managers on new starter activities
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance management processes and procedures
  • Provide recommendations on salary benchmarking and remunerations packages
  • Support the implementation of the project engagement strategy and coordinate initiatives with the support of the People Team
  • Developing project policy and documentation as required

 

Your skills & experience

Ideally you will have Relevant qualifications in HR & IR and experience as a HR Advisor or Coordinator ideally with an appreciation of the construction and engineering or similar sector in either project based or corporate roles: You will also have:

 

  • A sound understanding of HR legislation and developing best practice HR policies and processes
  • A collaborative style and be able to pick up initiatives quickly and work autonomously
  • An ability to build strong relationships with a multi-disciplinary leadership team to coach and influence positive outcomes
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to work across multiple project teams in different states and regions
