About the Project

 

 

DT Infrastructure have been awarded the design and construction of both the Wind Farm Facility and the Dedicated Network Asset.

The scope for the Wind Farm Facility is inclusive of 42 Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) - foundations and associated civil works including hardstands for the Owner's contractor to install the WTG components, the 33kV underground electrical reticulation between the WTGs, the 33 kV/275kV windfarm substation (inclusive of the switch room, transformers and associated equipment), the Wind Farm O&M facility and 2no. permanent met masts.

The scope for the Dedicated Network Asset is inclusive of 12.8km of 275kV overhead transmission line from the Carmody's Hill Switching Station to the Narridy Switching Station and the Carmody's Hill Switching Station. 

About the Position

 

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor - Civil and Supervisor - Structures to join our Carmody's Hill Wind Farm project. Reporting to the General Superintendent, you'll be accountable responsible for the safe and efficient coordination and supervision of personnel, plant and subcontractors to deliver construction activities in accordance with project schedules, budgets, quality standards and safety requirements. This position offers a rostered arrangement, DIDO (Drive in Drive out), the roster is 14:7. 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide regular updates on progress, risks, productivity and resource requirements. 
  • Support planning and coordination of construction activities to meet programme targets. 
  • Coordinate implementation of construction methodologies, work packs and technical requirements. 
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with design specifications and plans. 
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient and compliant delivery of works. 
  •  Provide day-to-day leadership across crews.
  • Support and mentor Supervisors where required. 
  • Supervise day-to-day earthworks and civil construction or Structures activities. 
  • Ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project scope and specifications. 
  • Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to achieve project objectives. 
  • Plan and organise daily work activities and allocate tasks to crews. 

To be successful:

 

  •  Relevant High Risk Work Licences
  • White Card 
  • Demonstrated experience in civil or earthworks construction environments. 
  • Minimum 4–5 years supervisory experience leading field crews. 
  • Experience coordinating plant, equipment and subcontractors on construction projects. 
  •  Effective leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Sound organisational and planning capability. 
  • Ability to manage productivity, cost control and budgets. 
  • Working knowledge of construction industry practices and quality systems.
