About the Project: Carmody's Hill Wind Farm
DT Infrastructure has been awarded the full Balance of Plant scope for the Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm project in the Mid North region of South Australia.
The 256 MW utility-scale wind farm, developed by Aula Energy and Renewable Project Services, is scheduled to commence construction in early 2026, with operations expected to begin in late 2028.
This position is a DIDO (Drive In Drive Out) arrangement 5:2 roster, based in Georgetown, SA. (2 hour drive from Adelaide). Company provided accommodation, site uplift and entitlements offered.
About the Position
Opportunity for an experienced project Health and Safety Advisor to join our Carmody's Hill Wind Farm project based in Georgetown, SA. Reporting to the Health, Safety and Environment Manager, you'll responsible for supporting the HSE Manager and Project to ensure compliance with local HSE management plans, regulary review risk registers, and implement programs stipulated in the DTI HSE planbs, together with the HSE Integrated Management System (IMS) implementation. This is a permanent, long term position with DTI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach operational teams with sub-contractor management requirements including review of SWMS, authority to work permits ATWPs, completion of DTI and site inductions, participation in pre-starts, conduct of daily plant check sheets and compliance with HSEMPs
- Support operations to execute DTI and local HSE initiatives.
- Effective implementation of DTI IMS HSE policy, procedures & standards through training, coaching and regular communication.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and assist with solution development and implementation.
- Coach and support local managers to develop and review HSE management plans and risk registers, consistent with site/project needs.
- Assist with HSE project training and communication requirements for workers and contractors which may include (but not be limited to) site specific inductions, personal risk assessments, incident reporting & investigations, cardinal rules, emergency procedures and verification of competencies (VOC's).
- Undertake field observations and inspections of pre-starts, work method statements, authority to work permits (ATWPs), high risk work processes, site documentation, equipment/vehicles and work sites in accordance with DTI HSE IMS requirements
- Assist with processes to ensure all employees are in a fit state to work and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol i.e. health surveillance and health monitoring.
- Partner with operations to prepare for IMS audits and external third-party audits.
- Conduct scheduled internal HSE audits, supporting operations to resolve any resulting corrective actions.
- Support operations to ensure all Incident and near misses are recorded in Lucidity where required.
- Support operations to ensure corrective actions developed, assigned and closed out. Preparation of HSE reports for stakeholders and HSE Manager, including timely updates regarding progress against pre-determined HSE objectives and initiatives.
- Provide support and guidance to managers through the return to work and injury management processes while liaising with internal/external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Certificate IV Workplace Health and Safety essential
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in health, Safety & Environment, Business or similar discipline preferred
- Degree in health, Safety & Environment, Business or similar discipline preferred
- Drivers’ license (C class) essential
- Certificate IV Training and Assessing or similar desirable
- Quality/Safety Lead Internal Auditor or similar desirable
- Lead ICAM Incident Investigation or similar desirable
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant industry experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a HSE practitioner role
