About the Project: Carmody's Hill Wind Farm
DT Infrastructure has been awarded the full Balance of Plant scope for the Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm project in the Mid North region of South Australia.
The 256 MW utility-scale wind farm, developed by Aula Energy and Renewable Project Services, is scheduled to commence construction in early 2026, with operations expected to begin in late 2028.
We are seeking an experienced Area Manager – Electrical to join us on this once in a generation project! The Area Manager – Electrical is accountable for the safe, efficient, and commercially successful delivery of the electrical project scope. Success is measured through HSE, quality, program, financial, and client satisfaction outcomes.
This is a permanent full-time position with DTI and there will be opportunities to grow and move onto future projects. There will be an opportunity for either DIDO from SA working on a 5:2 roster or FIFO from WA on a 2:1 roster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the design and construction interface register and ensure timely closeout of issues.
- Lead regular coordination meetings between internal disciplines, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Review design deliverables for technical alignment, buildability, and compliance.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures to meet financial targets.
- Monitor commercial performance and take proactive action to address variances.
- Lead subcontractor management and contract administration in line with DTI and client requirements.
- Develop and implement an Area Execution Plan that aligns with project and corporate objectives.
- Establish and maintain a baseline program identifying key activities and critical path.
- Ensure all works comply with DTI and client quality systems and standards.
- Oversee inspections, test plans, and progressive lot closure.
- Participate in DTI’s performance management process through regular reviews and goal setting.
- Encourage continuous improvement and accountability within project teams.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in an Electrical Senior Project Engineer, Area Manager or CM position delivering large-scale electrical infrastructure or construction projects, preferably in rail, energy, or renewables.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors within a complex delivery environment.
- Strong background in project management, including cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance.
- Experience managing design–construction interfaces and technical coordination.
