About the role

DT Infrastructure is seeking a First Nations Advisor to join our Social Impact team supporting the Smoky Creek & Guthrie's Gap Solar Power Station Project in Central Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity for a locally based candidate from the Fitzroy region who is passionate about creating meaningful and lasting outcomes for First Nations peoples and communities.

Working across all aspects of project delivery, you'll provide a First Nations perspective across our projects, helping embed inclusive practices that strengthen employment, procurement, training and community outcomes.

Working collaboratively with project delivery, procurement, people, commercial and construction teams, you'll build trusted relationships with Traditional Owner and First Nations businesses and community stakeholders while ensuring our projects leave a positive and lasting legacy for the communities in which we operate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support to project teams to embed a First Nations perspective across project delivery, helping achieve meaningful social impact outcomes.
  • Build and maintain respectful relationships with, First Nations communities, businesses, government agencies and key stakeholders across the Fitzroy region.
  • Drive First Nations employment, training, procurement and workforce participation initiatives in line with project commitments and client requirements.
  • Coordinate cultural awareness initiatives and support project teams to strengthen cultural capability and understanding.
  • Monitor, report and continuously improve First Nations participation and social impact outcomes, ensuring compliance with project commitments and relevant frameworks.

About you

  • Experience in First Nations engagement, social impact, community engagement, Indigenous participation or a similar role within construction, infrastructure, resources or renewable energy.
  • understanding of social procurement, workforce inclusion, First Nations participation frameworks and community engagement principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with Traditional Owner and First Nations businesses, community organisations and a broad range of stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, culturally aware and solutions-focused professional who is passionate about creating positive, lasting outcomes for First Nations peoples and regional communities.
