Job Summary

Report to immediate superior in research, planning, crafting framework & policies and implementing sustainability initiatives/programs in the organisation. This includes working closely with various team members/departments including Consultants to support, compile and implement strategies that promote environmental, social, governance and economic sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

1.    Lead the development and execution of ESG policies, initiatives, and programs, reporting directly to senior management.
2.    Conduct research and analysis to identify sustainability opportunities and risks.
3.    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable practices throughout the organisation.
4.    Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and coordinate pollution control, waste management, and renewable energy efforts.
5.    Assess and report environmental performance to internal and external stakeholders.
6.    Share ESG reports, adhering to relevant frameworks and standards.
7.    Oversee data management of ESG platforms.
8.    Assisting on developing and communicating a holistic sustainability strategy aligned with organisational values and objectives.
9.    Foster relationships with key partners and/or stakeholders to advance sustainability initiatives.
10.    Stay updated on sustainability regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
11.    Manage initiatives to reduce environmental impact, including energy efficiency and emissions management.
12.    Integrate sustainable practices into day-to-day operations and business processes.
13.    Implement social responsibility programs and diversity initiatives.
14.    Uphold ethical business practices and corporate governance standards.
15.    Design and deliver training programs on ESG goals and practices.
16.    Promote a culture of sustainability and responsibility across the organization.
17.    Explore and implement innovative technologies to enhance sustainability efforts.
18.    Identify and manage sustainability-related risks and opportunities.
19.    Fulfill additional duties as assigned by senior management.
20.    Adhere to quality, safety, health, and environmental standards.
 

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering and/or similar qualifications.

Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient in environmental sciences, business, policy & technical writing and communication.
  • Possesses knowledge know how of and experience with international sustainability and assurance guidelines and standards BREEAM and INFRASTAR and specific national legislations of Malaysia.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong project management skills, team player and attention to detail
