Job Summary
Based in the Gamuda Malaysia office, the QA/QC Engineer provides quality assurance and quality control support to projects in Australia. Reporting to the Project QA/QC Manager, the role is responsible for assisting in the administration, coordination, and maintenance of project quality documentation and systems, ensuring compliance with company procedures, project requirements, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Systems Support
- Assist in maintaining the register of project completion and handover requirements, ensuring deliverables are tracked and updated.
- Support the setup and administration of project documentation within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and GDOS, including project folder structures and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) uploads.
- Format approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for system upload.
- Upload specifications and related quality documentation into ACC and GDOS.
- Ensure project quality records are correctly filed, organised, and maintained in accordance with document control requirements.
Project Quality Assurance & Quality Control
- Perform routine checks and audits within ACC and GDOS to ensure required quality records are uploaded and maintained.
- Assist in monitoring project compliance with Project Quality and Completion Management Plans.
- Support the collection and upload of inspection records, test reports, material certificates, and manufacturer documentation.
- Support the QA/QC team by reviewing quality documents for completeness and basic compliance with project requirements.
- Assist in resolving documentation discrepancies and follow up with project teams where required.
- Maintain quality documentation in accordance with project procedures and naming conventions.
Project Support
- Support project engineers and site teams in the use of ACC and GDOS for quality documentation.
- Assist in preparing quality reports, dashboards, and project status updates.
- Contribute to monthly quality reporting and project performance reviews.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve quality documentation processes.
Communication & Collaboration
- Liaise with project engineers, site teams, document controllers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely submission of quality documentation.
- Escalate outstanding quality documentation issues to the Project QA/QC Manager where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related Engineering discipline.
Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and construction documentation.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate project records.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and continuously improve.
- Ability to adapt to changing project priorities and requirements.
Expected Minimum Years of Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related Engineering discipline.
