Job Description: 

Job Summary

Design, develop, implement, and manage Geographic Information Systems (GIS) solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

GIS Solution Development & Implementation:

  1. Support the design and development of GIS applications, tools, and workflows.
  2. Assist in administering and configuring GIS platforms, including ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online, to maintain data integrity and performance.
  3. Contribute to the development and management of spatial databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
  4. Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and assist in delivering spatial solutions.
  5. Participate in the development and enforcement of GIS standards and best practices.
  6. Assist in performing spatial analysis and developing geoprocessing tools to support decision-making.
  7. Contribute to the preparation of progress reports on GIS initiatives.

Team Leadership & Development:

  1.  Assist in the development of GIS-related training materials and workshops for end-users.
  2.  Proactively research, evaluate, and recommend new GIS technologies, programming languages, and methodologies for potential adoption and continuous improvement
  3. Document and share advanced GIS processes, best practices, and lessons learned to foster a culture of continuous
    learning and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in GIS, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Basic proficiency in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript
  • Hands-on experience with the Esri ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise (Server, Portal, Data Store,
    Web Adaptor), and ArcGIS Online
  • Basic understanding and experience with spatial databases (eg., PostgreSQL, PostGIS) and SQL query development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
